Is a residence permit the same as tax residency?

No. A residence permit is your legal right to live in Georgia, issued by the PSDA. Tax residency is a separate status based mainly on the 183-day rule or high-net-worth status and determines where you are taxed. You can hold one without the other. We can help you arrange both if needed.

How much property do I need for a real-estate residence permit?

As of 1 March 2026 the reported minimum property value for the short-term residence permit rose to USD 150,000 (up from USD 100,000). Thresholds and rules change, so we confirm the current figure and your eligibility against the PSDA before you file. Please verify the amount at consultation.
