Individual Entrepreneur Registration & 1% Small Business Status in Georgia
Want to run a sole proprietorship in Georgia and pay just 1% turnover tax? We handle the full setup for you: registration as an Individual Entrepreneur (IE) at the National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR), the Small Business Status application with the Revenue Service, and your tax registration on RS.ge. Georgia taxes on a territorial basis, and the whole process can be done remotely by power of attorney, without you flying to Tbilisi. Before we start, we check that your activity actually qualifies, because certain professions are excluded by law. (Stand: 2026-07-01. This page describes our service; tax and legal figures should be confirmed against rs.ge and napr.gov.ge before you rely on them.)
Figures as at 07/2026. We confirm them for your case before you order.

What we do
- Register you as an Individual Entrepreneur (IE) in the Entrepreneurs Registry at NAPR, in person on your behalf or remotely.
- File your Small Business Status application so your turnover is taxed at 1% up to 500,000 GEL per year (the part above that is taxed at 3%).
- Complete your tax registration and RS.ge personal-cabinet setup so you can operate and file from day one.
- Advise on eligibility and screen your planned activity against the excluded categories (consulting, legal, medical, audit/accounting, financial, insurance, gambling, staffing, construction and other licensed activities are not eligible for the 1% regime).
- Handle ongoing monthly turnover declarations and optional bookkeeping so your 1% status stays compliant year after year.
- Run the entire setup remotely by notarized and apostilled power of attorney, no visit to Georgia required.
How it works
Free eligibility check: you tell us your planned activity and turnover, and we confirm whether the 1% Small Business Status applies to you.
Documents and power of attorney: you send a notarized and apostilled passport copy and sign a power of attorney so we can act for you.
IE registration at NAPR: we register your Individual Entrepreneur and obtain your tax identification number.
Small Business Status + tax registration: we file the status application with the Revenue Service and set up your RS.ge cabinet.
Handover: you receive your registration confirmation, status confirmation and login details, plus optional ongoing declaration support.
Facts worth knowing before you decide
The limit is 500,000 GEL a year
Turnover above it is taxed at 3%, and exceeding the limit in two consecutive years costs the status. We watch the running total for you.
Not every activity qualifies
Several professional and licensed activities are excluded from Small Business Status. We check your actual activity against the list before you register.
An IE is you, not a company
There is no share capital and no separate liability. If you need a legal entity for contracts or investors, an LLC is the better starting point.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to travel to Georgia to register?
No. We register your Individual Entrepreneur and file for Small Business Status remotely, using a notarized and apostilled passport copy and a power of attorney you sign for us. You never need to fly to Tbilisi, though we welcome you if you prefer to come in person.
What does the 1% tax actually cover?
With Small Business Status, your business turnover is taxed at 1% up to 500,000 GEL per calendar year. Any turnover above that threshold is taxed at 3%. You declare turnover monthly through the Revenue Service portal, which we can handle for you as an ongoing service.
Which activities cannot use the 1% status?
Consulting, legal, medical, audit, accounting, financial, insurance, gambling, staffing, excisable goods and, since 2025, construction are excluded, along with most licensed activities. During our free eligibility check we confirm whether your specific activity qualifies before you commit.
